Icebreaker 

"For or Against"
Students were given a topic to argue for or against. Students were to provide their opinion, reasons, and examples for each side of the topic.

Note Taking Skills

Students put their note-taking skills to work! Each student took detailed notes, using techniques learned in class, while watching videos that focused on public speaking. 

Videos: "Be a More Confident Public Speaker" and "Presentation and Public Speaking Tips"


Major Project

"Confident Presentation"

After watching the videos and taking notes in our Daily Activity, students put those newly learned skills to work! 

Each student stood up in class and gave a presentation using their notes as an outline. Students had to discuss confidence in public speaking as well as demonstrate their confidence while speaking. Students also went over presentation and speaking tips while using items on hand in class to demonstrate. Each student had 5 minutes for their presentation.
