"I’m the Expert"
Students brain stormed about skills they're proud of; counting in a foreign language, learning spelling-list words, fixing a bike tire, or making banana pancakes, which could all be completed in 10 steps. Class reviewed a few how-to videos to identify common elements in this type of public speaking; what kind of language was used, how the presentation was structured, what types of visuals were used, etc. Students outlined the steps of their speech and created visuals illustrating key points. Once students were completed, they gave their presentation to the class.

Note Taking While Watching Videos
Students took detailed notes using techniques discussed in class while watching videos that focused on public speaking. Students also completed the worksheet that went along with the videos.
